On Friday I cosplayed England and I kind of started the day with a cosplay 'malfunction' I guess you could call it. The day started off well; I got dressed, did my makeup, helped my friend get her Ukraine cosplay on and whatnot, but then it came time to put my shoes on. Now, I did something really stupid (like seriously, I don't know how i could even be this dumb...) and only wore my shoes around like once before hand. The shoes were a bit tight but nothing I couldn't handle (from what I remembered) but I decided to put them on when we got closer to the con, since it was a bit of a drive from where I live to San Antonio. Anyway, I eventually put the shoes on and right when I stepped outside I realized those shoes were incredibly too tight and I could barely walk in them...So, as the day dragged on, I ended up changing my shoes 3 times before finally settling on a new pair to wear. But, all in all, Friday was fun. I got Scott Freeman's autograph that day so I guess I can't really complain~
On Saturday I cosplayed England half of the day, and Fem!John the other part. Saturday for us way more of a day to get autographs from the VA's that were there, so needless to say, we spent a majority of the day waiting in lines... That day I had to get Scott Freeman to sign one more thing that I didn't have a chance to get him to sign on Friday, and I also waiting in line for like 2 hours to get Scott McNeil's autograph, so we ended up missing Jerry Jewell's session, but we'll have a chance to get his again some other time I suppose. Anyway, Saturday was another good day, except for when another cosplayer thought it would be a good idea to get my attention by hitting me as hard as she could on my head...Yeah, I was pretty mad, and honestly I'm still a bit upset by it, but whatever I guess. But seriously people, don't go hitting people on the head, it actually really hurt and it's just not proper 'con etiquette'...
And finally, Sunday! Really, we had nothing to do at the actual con Sunday so a good portion of the day was spent at the mall across the convention. But, I did cosplay as Ib, and I was actually surprised that like, 5 people knew who I was~ (I was surprised when one person recognized me in the morning, to be honest ) So yeah, we did go to the dealers room where I bought some hetalia buttons and walked around a little bit around the convention center, but other than that, it was just the mall where I met people ^^ But unfortunately we had to be out of the parking garage by a certain time, so our day was cut a bit short.
Overall, it was a really fun con, and actually a really laid-back one for me. I met a lot of nice people, had some nice experiences, and I just enjoyed hanging out with my friends and making new ones. I would love to return to San Japan in the future as long as I would keep having a good time as I did this year! So, I hope the rest of you had an amazing time and I hope to see you guys soon!~
